What is an Electrical Installation COndition REport?
An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a detailed inspection of your property's electrical system. It checks the condition and safety of wiring, sockets, fuse boards, and more — helping identify faults, wear, or non-compliance with current regulations.
If you're a landlord, an EICR is a legal requirement every five years or at the start of a new tenancy. For homeowners, we recommend an inspection at least every ten years, or when buying or selling a property. Commercial premises should also be tested regularly as part of ongoing health and safety compliance.
